Sosa Family Selection Connecticut Toro (6x52)

Today's review smoke is the Sosa Family Selection in a toro size and connecticut wrapper. The wrapper has visible veins but are smooth to the touch and almost invisible seams. It is listed as being an Ecuador Colorado Connecticut wrapper, it has a beautiful shine and seems a bit oilier than any other connecticut wrapper I have come across. The wrapper had no soft spots or visible blemishes and the cigar is firm on pinch. The filler is not disclosed on the website. Pre Light draw presented a light creamy cedar flavor. Upon toasting and lighting, which was no problem with my handy single flame torch the light cream taste along with a very light cedar tone came alive with a bit of a caramel flavor. The finish has a very light, pleasant sweetness to it. A few puffs in brought a nuttiness and a little bit of spice to the party. The ash held very tight with little flaking and was a nice light grey color. This cigar has a complexity to it's flavor profile I was in no way prepared for. The flavors seems to dance in and out as if your palate is their ballroom floor and they are trying to win an award for best dancers. The medium bodied smoke is oh so smooth. Each and every flavor note that made itself known complimented the others with no certain one trying to dominate. The mid- point of the cigar had a bit more spice and pepper flavor come into the mix but once again it was not overpowering but very complimentary. This was my second taste of the sosa lineup, and just like the first, it was a fantastic smoke with exceptional craftsmanship. msrp on this smoke in toro size is around 5.50 which is a super value for the complexity and flavors provided within this cigar. The cigar smoked for this review was provided to me by antillian cigar corporation, thanks guys it was outstanding. That being said, the fact that it was provided to me did not in any way sway the information written in the review. If a cigar I review is horrific i am going to post it as being so. Many thanks for this tasty treat Antillian and Sosa.
