My favorites of 2012

I have smoked so many great cigars over the last year, there were some that really seemed to stand out in my mind and some that joined my usual rotation. I don't really want to rate one cigar against another but I will post my "Favorite 12 of 2012". Cigars that made the list are cigars i smoked for the first time in 2012 and don't necessarily mean that they were released in 2012. So, with that said, here is my list of 12 favorite cigars that I smoked in 2012. They are in no particular order, and the order that they appear in does not mean anything.

Sosa Cigars Super Selection V

Nomad Cigar Co. Vagabond

Reinado Core Blend

Miami Cigar & Co. Nestor Miranda Danno 2012

Paul Stulac Angel maduro

Espinosa Habano

Ortega Serie D

Underground by Sosa Cigars

La Zona Connecticut

Four Kicks Seleccion No. 5 by the Crowned Heads

Rafaeli's Cigars Maduro

  2. These all look so good! I have been growing a major interest toward special cigars. Cigar pros might consider me to be a weirdo, but I love little cigars. The size mixed with the amount of tobacco is perfect, I have grown an obsession toward these cigars. Is this normal?

    1. There is no real "normal" i don't believe. I have been known to smoke a red buck, bahama mama, or al Capone mini from time to time. I try to stick to the smaller hand rolled and non-homiginized wrapped offerings. There are some really tasty 4"x32 and smaller offerings available and from a wide range of manufacturers. It all boils down to smoking what YOU enjoy :)

  3. Wow. I have about 300 sticks in my humidor and I am not familiar with a single one of your favorites! The Cigar Universe is obviously much larger than I ever envisioned! Must expand my horizons... I really enjoy your blog, Mr. McCoy.

    1. Thank you for the kind words, I have fallen a it behind on new reviews with work being chaotic. I hope to have a couple of new reviews up this weekend. The cigar universe is very vast, especially when you venture past the mainstream companies and jump into the boutique brands. I have seen fellow smokers post pictures online of cigars that I have never seen and usually I try to seek them out. The cigar world seems to be booming with new brands and blends and it is very exciting. My goal is to try them all lol. An unrealistic goal I know because I would have to smoke like mark twain or Winston Churchill to get that many smokes in.
